History of A742 SCK
A742 SCK is still in my ownership, after being posted for sale in 2006 I withdrew it when my circumstances changed. It was last used in 2008 where I took the car to the nurburgring, after this it was put into de-humidified storage in Worcestershire, where the engine and gearbox was removed for update work to be carried out, this is ongoing today when finances allow. It has not turned a wheel since then aside from routine maintenance. All the ancilleries have been restored, the engine is being rebuilt to a high specification and there are plans for wider track front suspension to be fitted.
I have owned the car since 2005, it was brought with 54000kms from Kevin Peachey in colne, burnley where he kept it in a converted integral garage using it very sparingly, purchasing it with 52000kms from Graham Baker of springfield garage, ilminster in 2002 a garage where father and son had many turbo2's, this one in particular was purchased by them in 1993 and found to be so clean it was placed in de-humidified storage and completed only 12000kms in there 9 year ownership. The first official owner from import via Mr M.Nevin of Wigan was Andrew Scholes in maidstone in 1989 when the vehicle came into the country with 9000kms reading. I believe the importer to have used the car until mileage recorded 19000kms before Mr Scholes used the car taking the mileage count up to 45000kms in his 4 year ownership.
In France the owner from new was a Mr Morge Joel of Chatelguyon.
The car has all records, import papers and receipts, service and parts records from new but I would appreciate anyone that has any information on this car that may help piece together some of its history that is unanswered.
